You can play on many North Sealand golf courses as a non-member and they are close enough to each other that you can try different courses out over one holiday. You'll find courses for golfers of all abilities in the region.
The gently undulating landscape of South Zealand and the flat islands of Lolland and Falster are great places to get on your bike and cycle round the region. Cycle routes are easy to find and well sign-posted.
You can kayak at various spots along the coast and for an alternative way to see the dramatic Møns Klint, why not join a horse riding tour of the area?
Cyclists love West Sealand, with its many sign-posted cycle routes and easy access from Copenhagen. Hike the area’s many popular sign-posted routes, such as those across the Odsherred peninsula.
The river Suså and the Tystrup-Bavelse Lakes are great for kayaking and angling. As an angler, you’ll also find great catches all along the coast. At Lammefjord Canal you might even catch a carp.
The South Funen Archipelago is often viewed as a whole island group, but the many islands within the archipelago are diverse and offer their own unique experiences. They do have a number of things in common, however, such as peaceful nature, cosy villages and quaint harbours.
Anglers head to Funen for some of Europe's best coastal angling spots, particular good for catching sea trout. You’ll find great locations for angling on both Funen and the South Funen Archipelago.
Located just off the coast from Esbjerg, Fanø is an old maritime island with a perfect landscape for beach activities such as kite flying and sailing. The area is also an excellent place to hunt for Danish amber that washed up on the beaches. You can also see a variety of wildlife on the island, such as wild rabbits and seal colonies. The architecture on the island is also extremely special and inspired by the Frisian style.
You’ll experience superb conditions for windsurfing, with some of the best in Europe found at Klitmøller, on the West Coast.
