Win the Complete Series of The Bridge
Win The Bridge seasons 1-3 on DVD
Season 3 of The Bridge recently ended in the UK. If you missed it or if you can't wait to watch it again, then this is your chance to win the complete series on DVD.
A body on The Bridge
The Bridge is a thrilling Danish-Swedish Scandi Crime which starts with the discovery of a body of a young woman lying exactly halfway along the five-mile The Oresund Bridge that connects Copenhagen in Denmark to Malmo in Sweden. In response, a special bi-national police unit is put together, combining detectives from both Sweden and Denmark. There are some stunningly atmospheric scenes on the bridge, which in real life is an imposing outline on Copenhagen's horizon.
A Swedish Sarah Lund?
Heading up the unusual team in The Bridge season one and two, are Kim Bodnia (as Martin Rohde), a popular Danish actor who has starred in films such as the Pusher trilogy, and Sofia Helin (as Saga Norén), who many have called a Swedish Sarah Lund. In the third season Sofia teams up with Thure Lindhardt (as Henrik Saboe). The series is faster-paced than The Killing and draws humour from the subtle differences between Danes and Swedes, so it is a great TV series to watch if you want to learn more about Scandinavian culture.
The Bridge: An award-winning hit
When the series first aired on BBC Four in 2012, The Bridge drew over one million UK viewers and its success has since spread to other countries. The Bridge is a co-production between Denmark and Sweden and it has received much acclaim, resulting in an International TV Dagger at the 2012 Crime Thriller Awards and a Golden Nymph for Best European TV Series in 2014. It also won Serial of the Year at the Prix Europa 2012 festival and was nominated for a 2013 BAFTA award in the International category.
