The Natural History Museum
The Natural History Museum, Aarhus, is the second largest of its kind in Denmark both regarding size and exhibition square metres. The Museum contains over 5.000 different species of animals from all over the World - many in settings displaying the animals' natural habitats.
 
Exhibitions about Danish landscape
Furthermore there are exhibitions about the Danish landscape: wildlife and vegetation,  natural habitats and environment; natural and man-made changes to the landscape since the last Ice Age and various special exhibitions.
 
Many exotic animals on display
‘AnimaliA – A to Z of Survival’ is a new and unusual exhibition about evolution. A short story about an animal starting with each letter in the alphabet – from Axolotl to Zebra – reveals the evolutionary mechanisms in the kingdom of animals through billions of years. The museum exhibition comprises more than 5,000 different animals from all over the world - many in settings displaying their natural habitats.
 
The Museum's opening hours: In the Schools' winter- and autumn holidays every day from 10am to 4pm.
