Nordby Bakker

The unique landscape around Nordby Bakker (hills) was formed during the last glacial period (from 15-100.000 years ago). It stretches from Asmindør Hage in the south to Issehoved in the north and consists of hills, interrupted by deep valleys – called grooves. Nordby Bakker was appointed “Naturkanon” (special preserved location) in 2009 by the Ministry of Forest and Nature. You can get a leaflet on hiking trips in Nordby Bakker at VisitSamsø by Samsø Erhvervs- og Turistcenter.
