Pipstorn Forest

Welcome -There was a “graveyard” here in Pipstorn for more than 4,000 years. Afterwards the woods encroached. And today, Pipstorn is a mixture of ancient burial sites, forestry operations (at Holstenhuus Manor, which owns the woods), a recreational area and a habitat for wild animals and several rare plants. We uphold this balance and ask visitors to help us in our efforts. To enhance the experience of Pipstorn Forest, the following features were added in 2016: two cabins, tables and benches, logs for resting, a nature playground, fixed orienteering control points, MTB tracks, informative signs and more. We hope you enjoy your visit to Pipstorn Forest. You can get a leaflet over Pipstorn Forest at the tourist office.
