Instead of speaking for them, we thought Kurhotel Skodsborg should introduce themselves in their own words. Here's what they had to say: "We welcome you to Kurhotel Skodsborg, an international spa hotel based on simple Nordic traditions. It is our goal to meet even the least of your wishes, so you can relax, recharge and return home with renewed energy."
Kurhotel Skodsborg is only 100 meters from the sea and their often-instagrammed dock is a favourite place for guests to take a swim. The braver guests even take a dip in the colder months! On the other side of the hotel and spa is a nature reserve that's great for peaceful strolls in the forest.
Kurhotel Skodsborg founder Dr. Carl Ottosen founded Kurhotel Skodsborg in 1898 on a solid principle that a healthy life should come from light, air, water, nutrition, exercise and rest, and their theraputic pools like this one embody all of those elements.
Three words: Mouthwatering Icelandic salmon.
And of course, Kurhotel Skodsborg has plenty of fitness activities for those who want some exercise built into their stay. In fact, you can choose from 150 fitness group classes each week.
Kurhotel Skodsborg has a style that mixes modern hygge with classic elegance. King Frederik VII acquired the Skodsborg country estate in 1852, and spent the summers here with his wife, Countess Danner, until his death in 1863. The King presided over official meetings and banquets in Villa Rex, which was recently restored according to the original drawings, so you can experience the villa as it appeared in the 1800s.
The brasserie's rooftop terrace is a great place to have a snack or drink and end your day at sunset. Or you can head downstairs to the lobby for Lobby Tunes and enjoy the songs of a jazz singer or other enriching live music performances. Either way, you'll end up feeling fresh and relaxed during your time at Kurhotel Skodsborg.
