Discover the towns of West Jutland

West Jutland is typified by small harbour and fishing towns. The largest of these, Esbjerg, is a bustling port town. All of them are shaped by the maritime history of this historic area.

The harbour city of Esbjerg has developed into Denmark's offshore industry capital, servicing North Sea rigs, wind farms and fisheries. Founded in 1868, it is Denmark’s youngest city and is known for its network of winding streets.
