Denmark's most famous woman

One of Denmark’s most famous women, Leonora Christine, died at the cathedral in Maribo. The daughter of King Christian IV, Leonora was imprisoned for 22 years in The Blue Tower in Copenhagen by her half brother, King Frederik III. Whilst in prison, she wrote the most impressive biography of the age, Memory of Woe (Jammerminde).
